Meet Lauren Cook
Lauren’s passion for Ayurveda was ignited during her Yoga Teacher Training at Houston Yoga & Ayurveda Ashram in 2016. Immersed in the teachings of Sharon Kapp, she developed a deep understanding of Vedic sciences and practiced Panchakarma extensively.
As a Clinical Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner from Ayurved Sadhana Vidyalaya, Lauren is also a certified Ayurvedic Doula specializing in prenatal and postnatal care. She teaches in Ayurved Sadhana’s Doula Program and continuously expands her knowledge in abortion support, crisis response, and radical mental health. Additionally, Lauren holds a 200HR Hatha/Raja Yoga Teacher certification and works as a Panchakarma Technician for Satmya Ayurveda. Her holistic approach and dedication to Ayurveda make her a compassionate and knowledgeable guide in your wellness journey.
Many cultures have implemented specific structures of care pertaining to the sacredness of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum window. Our Ayurvedic Acharya’s place emphasis on the postpartum window because it is such a transformational and vulnerable time for the body, mind, and soul of the birthing person, baby, and the family alike. As we stray further from communal care individuals tend to isolate from the care they need and deserve. An Ayurvedic Doula introduces ancient techniques of recovery and repair to make the transition blissful and easeful.
Lineage
Dr. Bharat Vaidya’s lineage is deeply rooted in the history and revival of Ayurveda. The Prabhuram Ayurvedic Vidyalaya, established in 1896 by Vaidya Prabhuram Jivanram and his son Dr. Popat Prabhuram Vaidya, played a pivotal role in revitalizing Ayurvedic education and practice in India. Amidst the declining status of Ayurveda and the dominance of Western medicine, Vaidya Prabhuram Jivanram stood as a beacon of hope, demonstrating the efficacy of Ayurvedic treatments and fostering dialogue with European doctors.
Dr. Vaidya is a highly respected Advanced Ayurvedic Physician with degrees from Mumbai and the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. He practices in Superior, Colorado, and teaches an in-depth study of Ayurveda through Ayurved Sadhana, a state-accredited institution. Co-founder of Ayurved Sadhana Vidyalaya in Mumbai, Dr. Vaidya integrates traditional knowledge with modern practices, emphasizing healing and innovation in his classes. He is known for his passion.
